Portfolio fever I guest, spiking my temperature up to 38.0
degree Celsius in Accident & Emergency Unit previously today.
Now around 12midnight as I’m jotting this down, the
auto-thermometer beeping with the reading 38.4 degree. I feel lethargic, having
headache, shivering and nausea with pounding pulse rating over 100 beat per
minute. 1g paracetamol taken, hopefully the fever will subside when I wake up
coming morning.
Experiencing my second time being a patient at A&E today
accompanied by my dear kind-hearted besty Sharifah Zanariah, I clumsily forgot
to drop the patient slip into the box at the counter. Good thing that the MAs
who sorting my complained at the triage counter previously acknowledge me in
the trainee nurse uniform thus called me to the checking room.
“Adik, come here.”
I just followed his back without much saying.
“Slip hijau ni kena letak dalam kotak ni. Kalau tak sampai
esok pun orang tak panggil- panggil.”
Lol. Innocence smiling face given. Checked vital signs as
usual, I took over the auto-thermometer from his hand and did it myself so that
I didn’t have to open up my veil and made sure no unrequited touching happened
– self serving is better (: After
founding out I was in febrile state, he stood on his feet getting me two
tablets of paracetamol and served me a glass of water stat. Terharu pula bila
sekali- sekala orang served medications when we got sick instead of we serving
medications to the sick.
Alhamdulillah walau apapun, segala kebaikan yang datang
adalah dari Allah melalui perantara-Nya. Saya tak habiskan pun treatment tadi,
just went home after been waiting for 2 and a half hours. Biasalah emergency
cases is prioritize, kebetulan banyak pula resus cases tadi. It’s ok. Agak-
agak tak resolve sehari dua lagi insyaallah saya pergi lagi kalau rajin. Atau
if worsen. (:
Good night.
